Creation of descriptions is simple via selection from drop down lists. Rogue items can easily be created ensuring correct positioning in the final BOQ without having to revert to coding of descriptions. The flexibility of 'home working' is incorporated by means of the 'remote working' facility.

This facility also allows projects to be worked on by different offices or by a freelance QS using CATO and then combined centrally.

CATO Procurement allows the surveyor to change the order of the BOQ into trade/elemental or locational order with ease.

Beyond the production of the tender documents, the BOQ's can be priced for a pre-tender estimate. Rates may be entered for the returned tenders and a tender appraisal report produced. Taking the process further these costs can then be used to analyse the bills and finally produce an elemental estimate.
