Causeway Wins E-Commerce Product of the Year Award

Causeway Technologies, the Construction Software People, has won the E-Commerce Product of Year Award in the prestigious Construction Computing Awards 2009. Recognised ahead of all other construction software companies, Causeway received this honour in an awards ceremony at the Tower Hotel last night.

Known as "The Hammers" and now in their 4th year, the Construction Computing Awards showcase and reward the technology, tools and solutions for the effective design, construction, maintenance and modification of commercial buildings, residential and social housing and civil engineering projects of all sizes.

E-Commerce Product of the Year, Causeway Tradex combines data exchange and process controls that allow companies to exchange trading documents, such as invoices and orders, without the need for paper.  By integrating with the different back office systems used by buyers and suppliers, transactions can flow directly from one application to another.  Tradex also provides a shared information platform is being used to support approval, archiving and matching processes “on-line”, further reducing the need to print, copy and distribute paper.  Use of Tradex has grown rapidly over the last few years as more companies have adopted electronic exchange to unlock the benefits this provides.
