Causeway at Arabian Construction Week BuildingSMART

Helping clients, contractors and consultants access and interrogate the information contained in Building Information Models (BIM) will be a major theme of the Causeway stand at ACW 2011 (28th – 31st March, Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre).

Located in the Build Smart area of the exhibition with other members of buildingSMART ME, Causeway will be demonstrating its BIMMeasure dynamic cost and measurement tool. BIMMeasure delivers fast and effective measurement capability to access and interrogate BIMs beyond the graphic representation thus providing estimates and costs to be gained quickly. It also provides a powerful set of measurement and scheduling tools, making true automated measurement a reality.

“We have been working closely with a number of leading cost consultants such as Davis Langdon (AECOM), Cyril Sweett, F&G and EC Harris as more and more clients and architects turn to BIM,” explained Paul Madeira, Chief Operating Officer of Causeway Middle East. “We will be able to demonstrate how companies can adopt and integrate BIM models from companies such as Tekla and Gehry Technologies into an advantage that enables them to engage with the design team at an earlier stage and add more value to the overall process”.
