Causeway confirmed as ENGLAND sponsor for inaugural South Africa Legends match

Some of the biggest names in modern rugby history will be putting their boots back on for the inaugural England v South Africa Legends Rugby Charity Match taking place on the 26th November at the Stoop.

Martin Corry, Jason Leonard, Josh Lewsey, Joost van der Westhuizen, Brendan Venter, Percy Montgomery and many more are in the line-up for what is sure to be an intense and physical display. With no love lost between the two epic rugby nations, it will be interesting to see if some old scores are settled.

Tickets are now on sale online call 0871 5271315 starting at £20 for Gold seats, £10 for reserved seating and £5 for concessions.

Both teams have now confirmed their nominated charities; England Legends have named the Rugby Football Foundations and the Rugby Players Association Benevolent Fund to be their beneficiaries. Martin Corry, England Legends captain commented, "We are proud to be supporting these two organisations. The Rugby Football Foundation helps clubs at the grass roots, improving facilities through grants and loans and funding rugby coaching across England with people of all ages and abilities. It's really vital work, benefiting society as a whole and promoting the values of Rugby Union."

Martin added, "The RPA Benevolent Fund assists fellow players who have suffered serious injury, illness or hardship. Through the generous support of businesses, rugby supporters and the players themselves, the RPA Benevolent Fund has been able to raise thousands of pounds each year to help players and their families who are in need. All the Legends are delighted to be able to raise funds for the charities who will benefit."

The eLAN SA Rugby Legends (SARLA) has been established as a leading charity in South Africa for a number of years. Originally set up to raise funds for the development of rugby at grass roots and club rugby in South Africa, today SARLA has grown into a full blown social awareness charity using sport as the catalyst to bring people together and then evolving their sport aspirations as well as educating them about health, wealth and social characteristics.

The England Legends have named Causeway as their team sponsors.

Causeway Chief Executive Officer Phil Brown commented: " We are proud to support the England Legends and contribute to their fundraising for these very worthwhile rugby charities. Causeway has a strong commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, which includes sponsorship of the London Wasps Academy and Academy Apprenticeship as a way of supporting and engaging with our local community through rugby. So our involvement with England Legends is a natural progression for us."

Causeway has a well established Corporate Social Responsibility programme, encompassing the areas of Sports, the Arts, and Sustainability. As well as supporting London Wasps financially, the company also plays an active role in supporting the Wasps' young players, helping them develop skills beyond the rugby pitch, such as interviewing techniques and CV writing.
