Team Causeway's star performance at Byte Night
Causeway has raised over £4,400 for Action for Children during Byte Night, the IT industry's annual 'sleep-out' even in support of the charity.
On the 8th October the nine-strong Team Causeway joined forces with a host of other fundraisers from within the Thames Valley IT community to 'sleep rough' for the night - gaining just a little experience of what it is like to be homeless.
Team Causeway comprised Martyn Lambert, Carol Massay, Cherrise Massay, Mandeep Mudhar, Amelia Spencer, Jack Essen, Ash Wakeling, Simon Bennett and Jutta Kamp.
"As well as being a fantastic fund-raising event, Byte Night gives us a small insight into the reality that homeless people face every day," said Causeway Business Development Director Martyn Lambert. "One night of discomfort is a small price to pay and we are delighted to have raised so much to help these people," he added.
Byte Night has been running for 12 years and has grown each year so that the 2010 saw over 700 sleepers, who raised a total of £528,000 of which £80,000 was raised by the Thames Valley sleepers.
